Purple Rose Theater Original Play – “Willow Run”

Chelsea’s Purple Rose Theater introduced an original play set at the Willow Run Bomber Plant during WWII. “Willow Run,” a musical drama by playwright Jeff Duncan is based on historical research and details gathered from interviews with original Willow Run “Rosie the Riveters.”

“Willow Run” sold out performances through its entire run (June through September, 2018) making it one of the most popular offerings in Purple Rose’s 27-year history!

The play shares the challenges, sacrifices and triumphs of four women, from diverse backgrounds, who converge at theWillow Run Bomber Plant to “do their part” to help the war effort.
